I don't have a particular item I recommend. I would say it's good to visit if you don't mind roaming around Pleasantville if there's no space. We went around ~2 PM and there was basically no room for more in-person guests. With 3-4 tables for guests, I suppose most of the frequent guests do takeout. The only tricky factor is that the taqueria is not very big. When my parents visit the area, I really want to take them here. Also, even though we dined in, they gave us containers that seal reliably for takeout and speedy, near-perfect service. The aftertaste was comfortable, which is something I value a lot with restaurant food. Even the beans were tasty (which many Mexican restaurants don't put much effort into). I've eaten TexMex all my life, and this is some top tier food. I don't mind paying that much if the food is great or above average, but for average, $90 is a bit too much.Wonderful taqueria with large portion sizes and thoughtful staff. So, to say a few tacos & flautas, a couple of drinks and 2 desserts was $90 is a bit much. The total for 2 for dinner was $90 with tip. Some waiters spoke better english than others so we had multiple waiters at our table. They were fine but much heavier than expected. Maybe mexican churros are different from spanish churros but I don't remember having churros with caramel (or whatever they were stuffed with) in Spain. I couldn't tell if they were store bought or made fresh. The flan was made fresh but the churros were not like any churros that I have had in the past. We each ordered a drink (sangria) which was fine. The beans and rice were on a separate plate, they were fine (average). Is that asking too much of a mexican restaurant? Maybe it is. The salsa seemed to be fresh made but the chips were out of a bag. The chips and salsa were put on the table quickly. It could have been an italian restaurant. Ok, fine, it doesn't look like a mexican restaurant. First impressions: The only thing to identify this as a mexican restaurant was the sombrero hanging over the door (see attached pic) and a small dish on the wall with a boy and a donkey. And I agree with another reviewer that perhaps it is a bit too much to ask to find a decent mexican restaurant in westchester. I think they define themselves as an authentic mexican restaurant. Outside of that I would have provided 4 stars 'Mariachis' showed up around 730 so we prolonged our stay for the live music which was well worth it! We WILL be back to eat and drink Margaritas at my new fave Mexican! I gave this restaurant 3stars because of the lack of Mexican decoration and dated look. Bartenders were sociable, sweet, and funny. It was so good we returned 2days later for HappyHour. It's casual attire, I saw people coming in sneakers, hooded sweatshirts, shorts. The side of rice and refried beans was pretty good. Like I said before, wow, this restaurant knocked this Mole out of the park! It was delicious!!The service was good and our food was good. I have tried Mole at different locations in my life- once in Mexico &once my ex's Mexican mom made it & both of those times, I couldn't find the hype everyone seemed to enjoy. My husband ordered skirt steak and it was made medium as he had asked and the plate had I believe it was chicken (I can't remember) but it had Mole sauce drizzled over. I ate a salad with beans in a balsamic dressing, which was surprisingly good.
